Gas Fire Servicing, Installation and Repairs

You need to regularly service your gas fire as these are the most common forms of carbon monoxide poising. A chimney sweep is also recommended once a year as a partially blocked chimney can be the major cause of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Our yearly check for gas fires is as follows:-

1. Sweep chimney or flue and perform a smoke test to make sure this is working correctly.

2. Check the gas supply to the fire making sure the is enough gas and also there are no leaks.

3. Perform a service as per the manufactures instructions. The manufactures instructions will be needed unless you know the make and model number and you advise us before enter the premises.

4. Ventilation checks will be carried out plus a flow test on the fire.

5. A Corgi certificate with a chimney certificate will be issued once all checks have been passed.
